I've been expecting you...

So what am I trying to do, what is the point of this blog?  Well I guess first of all I should introduce myself (where are my manners?), my name is Farhan, I'm a CGI artist come filmmaker (in one) living in London, UK.  I've been writing my next feature called Digitopia since 2008.  I finished the eighth draft of it at the end of 2009.  I've been working with an independent producer, we were planning on putting Digitopia forward for funding in 2010 - but then the credit crunch hit hard and impending financial doom was imminent.

Okay so we decided not to put it forward for funding but had the genius idea of presenting one of the scenes from the movie as a stand alone short film.  Hoping the short would/will be a success in its own right the plan is to enter the short into as many festivals as we can, use it as a showpiece to present the screenplay, art guide, business plan and all that other good stuff.  

Sound like a good plan or doomed from the start.  Either way I'll be charting the progress on this blog.
Subscribe/follow or whatever the buzz word is for these things and join me on the ride.  I'll try to update the blog regularly with progress (there'll be plenty of progress), pitfalls (there'll be too too many to mention) and successes (I'll make these up along the way:).  Either way I'll hope we have fun on the way :)
